ELECTRICAL SAFETY MONTH

"Be in the Know about the New"
May is National Electrical Safety Month. The Electrical Safety Foundation International (ESFI) raises awareness about potential home electrical hazards and the importance of electrical safety. This year's campaign educates the public about emerging technologies and the electrical hazards associated with them. These technologies include electric vehicles, solar power, wind power, and smart meters. Click Here to read more about it.

CAPITAL CREDITS
Growing Credits Through Energy Usage  Capital credits in the amount of approximately $675,000, are currently being paid for the years 1951-1976. The procedures and necessary forms for collecting these funds are listed here.

There are many former and deceased members for whom RGEC does not have current addresses, therefore, we are unable to forward money to them. If you are a member, former member, or the heir of an estate with a capital credit check pending, please carefully review the board policy and procedures to find out how to claim any capital credits payments to which you may be entitled.

If you are a member or former member and believe that you are entitled to payment of capital credits from Rio Grande Electric Cooperative, Inc. ("RGEC") that were not paid to you and you filed bankruptcy, you must provide the information listed in the Bankruptcy Instructions and complete a Capital Credits Claim Form

GENERAL MANAGER/CEO's MESSAGE
Brackettville Headquarters
